Session Description: An overview of FosterClub's FYI Binder, an invaluable tool for youth to keep track of important documents, contacts, and resources. Concepts presented include youth participation in their case plan, self-advocacy, and navigation of the foster care system.
Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop participants will be able to:

Understand how tracking and sharing important life events can help influence changes in case planning (Story of Self/Personal Narrative)

Understand the importance and benefits of collaborating with supportive adults in case planning (Attachment & Connectedness)

Use the FYI Binder as a tool to navigate and track tricky situations, and mitigate conflict by pre-planning responses (Self Regulation)

Meaningfully participate in case planning and understand the challenges youth face when trying to become more involved in their case plan (Knowledge of System)
